With an illustrious career spanning almost five decades, Gulinson has established himself as a seasoned executive, adept at navigating the complexities of healthcare management, business development, and public policy advocacy. Gulinson's journey began with a Master's in Hospital Administration from Duke University, setting the stage for a career characterized by innovation, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

His early roles, including Senior Vice President at the Chicago Hospital Council and President at the Hospital Council of Northern California, showcased his prowess in developing new services and advocating for strategic initiatives that propelled hospitals towards improved efficiency and quality of care. In the late '80s, Gulinson took on the challenge of turning around a troubled business at the American Hospital Association, transforming a $4 million annual loss into a $4 million gain. His strategic acumen was further demonstrated by the creation of a unique telecommunications service that garnered 1500 hospital customers in just six months, adding approximately $2 million per year in revenues. As Vice President at Aramark, Gulinson strategically shifted the focus from individual hospitals to large hospital systems, a move that not only increased sales volume but also enhanced client retention. His adept negotiation skills were showcased through the successful sale of the largest food services agreement for the firm, earning up to $3 million in annual revenue and a $150,000 annual bottom-line growth. Gulinson's impact reached its zenith during his tenure at Medicon, where he played a pivotal role in growing revenue from $1 million to an astounding $100 million per year within four years. His negotiation skills were put to the test in securing the largest and most complicated account at the time, involving a major Blue Cross plan, garnering support from key stakeholders and generating approximately $15 million in annual revenue.   In the 2000s, as President of Gulinson & Associates, he continued to shape the healthcare landscape, providing invaluable consultation to healthcare providers and start-up businesses. His visionary leadership was evident in the development of joint ventures focused on wellness and prevention, a testament to his commitment to pioneering transformative healthcare solutions. His impact reverberated prominently during his tenure as Vice President of Business Development at North American Partners in Anesthesia, where he helped the growth of the company's perioperative, anesthesia, and pain management services.

Beyond his numerous professional achievements, Gulinson is a recognized mentor, sharing his wealth of knowledge with the next generation of healthcare leaders. His roles as President of the Duke University Health and Hospital Administration Alumni Association and member of the Duke University Fuqua School of Business Alumni Council underscore his commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence.
