Roberto E. Patriarca is a seasoned executive with over 20+ years of experience in the financial industry, showcasing a dynamic career spanning banking, brokerage, and insurance businesses. His expertise extends across multiple continents, with significant stints in Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. Known for his strategic acumen, robust financial planning capabilities, and deep understanding of corporate governance, Roberto has held pivotal roles in top-tier financial institutions.

Roberto's journey began at PwC, where he spent nearly a decade mastering first in audit and tax management and then in Corporate Finance (M&A advisory and valuations). This foundational experience laid the groundwork for his transition to HSBC, where he took on progressively senior roles. As Executive Director of Strategy and Planning at HSBC's Latin America division, Roberto was responsible for overseeing country-specific and regional strategies, managing financial performance, and coordinating mergers and acquisitions. His keen analytical skills and ability to drive strategic initiatives played a key role in HSBC's growth across Latin America. Transitioning from HSBC to UBS, Roberto embraced broader responsibilities as Chief of Staff and later as Marketing and Operating Officer for UBS Bank Brasil. In this capacity, he was instrumental in aligning business strategies with the UBS Group's directives, overseeing risk control frameworks, and strengthening relationships with regulators. His leadership extended to implementing a new marketing and communications structure that enhanced UBS's engagement in philanthropy and impact investing. Roberto's entrepreneurial spirit came to the forefront in 2021 when he co-founded MiBanka4, a fintech based on the community bank concept. As CFO and COO, he was deeply involved in the company's inception, from navigating legal and regulatory landscapes to launching the business in March 2024. His hands-on approach and strategic thinking were critical in establishing the company's infrastructure and ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulations. Beyond his executive roles, Roberto has a passion for mentoring and guiding others. He has served on various boards, including INVEPAR, where he chaired the Audit Committee, and Guarulhos Airport, where he was a member of the board. His commitment to sustainability is evident in his role with ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, where he supports fiscal oversight.
