BIO

Jean-Philippe Gauvrit is a distinguished executive mentor and international finance leader whose career spans over three decades of dynamic leadership, transformation, and cultural navigation in some of the world’s most challenging and rewarding business environments. As a former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with significant influence across the Asia-Pacific region, Gauvrit has built a legacy defined by strategic foresight, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to nurturing talent and leadership.

Beginning his career in finance with roles at notable companies such as Bouygues and Cegelec (VINCI Energies), Gauvrit honed his expertise in management control and internal auditing, laying the foundation for his sharp analytical and operational approach. Gauvrit’s career truly accelerated with his leadership at Alcatel and later Nokia, where he held a series of high-profile roles that showcased his ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments. As CFO for Alcatel-Lucent’s APAC region, he steered the company’s financial operations during a period of significant growth, overseeing a 14% increase in sales in 2014 and a further 8% in 2015, all while reducing overheads and improving cash flow. His deft navigation of the financial challenges within the India region—where he co-led the restructuring and turnaround of a struggling business—was a testament to his ability to manage both financial recovery and strategic planning. When Nokia acquired Alcatel-Lucent, Gauvrit’s leadership became even more pronounced. As the APAC and Japan (APJ) Region CFO for Nokia, he led the integration of the two companies’ finance teams, successfully merging cultures and operational processes.Throughout his tenure, Gauvrit demonstrated an unwavering commitment to maintaining profitability while simultaneously fostering growth and innovation. Gauvrit’s influence extended beyond his financial acumen. He played a critical role as a business partner to regional presidents, contributing to strategic resets and governance improvements that helped position companies for long-term success.

After decades in corporate leadership, Gauvrit transitioned to executive mentoring by founding BROADEROAD. He leverages his extensive experience to guide finance leaders and organizations through international roles, business development, and post-merger integration. His creative and authentic approach, bolstered by photography-based workshops, fosters self-awareness and leadership skills. As a mentor, Gauvrit is dedicated to co-creating solutions and unlocking potential. His journey from finance controller to international CFO and now executive mentor serves as an inspiring testament to the power of experience, resilience, and creativity in shaping a global leader who continues to make a lasting impact on those he mentors and the organizations he serves.
