Beginning his career in finance with roles at notable companies such as Bouygues and Cegelec (VINCI Energies), Gauvrit honed his expertise in management control and internal auditing, laying the foundation for his sharp analytical and operational approach. Gauvrit’s career truly accelerated with his leadership at Alcatel and later Nokia, where he held a series of high-profile roles that showcased his ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments. As CFO for Alcatel-Lucent’s APAC region, he steered the company’s financial operations during a period of significant growth, overseeing a 14% increase in sales in 2014 and a further 8% in 2015, all while reducing overheads and improving cash flow. His deft navigation of the financial challenges within the India region—where he co-led the restructuring and turnaround of a struggling business—was a testament to his ability to manage both financial recovery and strategic planning. When Nokia acquired Alcatel-Lucent, Gauvrit’s leadership became even more pronounced. As the APAC and Japan (APJ) Region CFO for Nokia, he led the integration of the two companies’ finance teams, successfully merging cultures and operational processes.Throughout his tenure, Gauvrit demonstrated an unwavering commitment to maintaining profitability while simultaneously fostering growth and innovation. Gauvrit’s influence extended beyond his financial acumen.
