His career began in construction, where he held various leadership roles ranging from Superintendent to CEO. As CEO, Gene was instrumental in driving the company’s strategic direction, overseeing operations, financial management, and corporate compliance. His tenure included leading the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic, including implementing critical initiatives to maintain operations, reduce waste, and enhance shareholder equity. Under Gene’s leadership, the company created a corporate aviation department that operated two aircraft. Gene and his team established maintenance protocols and ensured compliance with FAA regulations.

Gene led the effort to optimize the company’s fleet vehicle operations, significantly improving efficiency and reducing costs. He oversaw a human resources restructuring effort, including selecting and implementing an integrated HRIS system, which streamlined HR, ERP, and accounting functions. His leadership during these transformative times earned him a reputation for strategic vision, operational excellence, and resilience in challenging environments.

In 2023, Gene transitioned to a career in aviation, reflecting his lifelong passion for flying. He is currently a First Officer at a Regional Airline that operates under American, Delta, and United Airlines. His qualifications include an ATP license and an E170 type rating.
